7-Day Tours

Seven days (six nights) to experience in the heart of Africa South of the Sahara

Enjoy game viewing from the comfort of your lounge in a tree hotel through glass; test a game park with rich wildlife and great rift valley lake water; reach your safari climax at the one-and-one-only Masai Mara game reserve and end up at the foot of the Mighty Kilimanjaro for inspiration (oops for writers only)!

1 night Tree Hotel, 1 night Lake Nakuru, 2 nights Masai Mara, 2 nights Amboseli.

Your safari begins at 7.30am with pick up from your hotel or residence and departs to one of the Tree hotels' namely the Ark, Treetops and mountain lodge. You will arrive in time for lunch at the Aberdare Country Club for the Ark and the Out-span Hotel for Treetops, which serve as bases for visiting the 'tree' hotels. The Ark is situated in the Aberdare National park, deep in the mountain. This unique lodge resembles a ship; overlooking a floodlit waterhole and saltlick which is visited by a variety of animals. The animals often seen here are the elephants, Rhino and the bushbuck. Occasionally you can see the giant forest hog or the leopard. The following day depart after breakfast heading for Lake Nakuru.

Lake Nakuru lies in the Rift Valley it is one of a chain of 8 lakes, which stretch the length of Kenya from Tanzania to Ethiopia. This journey takes only 2½hrs comfortable drive from Nyeri Town, arriving Nakuru in time for lunch, which is taken in the park and is followed by an extensive tour. This tour takes you to this famous lake Nakuru national park where there are flamingoes, white pelicans, marabou stork and a variety of other water birds that breed in the lakes alkaline waters. Cape buffalo and lion can also be seen. You will spend a comfortable night in the park.

Having left Lake Nakuru in the morning after breakfast and a game drive, you will arrive in the world famous and the richest game reserve in Kenya, Maasai Mara set up very naturally between two streams.  Here you will be able to view a wide selection of wildlife such as lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant, rhino, giraffe and the buffalo. You will explore the Mara plains for predators and you will have a visit to the hippo pool which is a popular spot to watch out for hippos; with luck, you may see the crocodiles basking on the rocks. The reserve is essentially the Northern extension of Tanzania's Serengeti National Park and is home to numerous plains game including wildebeest, zebras and the maasai giraffe as well as antelopes like the Thompson's gazelle, hartebeest, impala and dik dik among others. You will relax here, enjoying your photo-taking sessions as you view the wildlife for three days (two nights) before departing for Amboseli National Park.

Amboseli National Park lies within the shadow of the mighty Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest mountain (second only to the Himalayas in the world) whose peak maybe seen from the park in clear weather. You will have a game drive where a variety of plains game can be seen such as the antelopes and birds. Other animals such as the lion, cheetahs can be viewed in the park. Elephants and hippos are sometimes found bathing in the swamp-grounds which get their waters from Mt. Kilimanjaro.
